MTUTD: “I Want to Score More – And Help the Team Win” – Theerapat Nanthakowat’s Unwavering Determination

Boat scores his first Thai League goal but remains focused on team success despite the defeat.

“I want to score again, and I will do everything on the pitch to help the team win.”

Kirin Young Star Update

Muangthong United’s promising 21-year-old midfielder Theerapat Nanthakowat (known as “Boat”) opened his Thai League goal account in the latest match against Ratchaburi FC. The goal was a perfect display of skill and technique from the powerful young midfielder, but Boat was not fully satisfied with the result.

“I’m very happy… but I’m sad that the team lost,” the polite and humble 21-year-old replied when asked about his feelings.

When probed further about his goals after netting his first in the league, Theerapat responded immediately with clear determination:
“I want to score more, and I will go onto the field and do everything to help the team win.”

The conversation ended quickly as Boat hurried off for breakfast to prepare for another intense training session. Born on January 5, 2005, the 1.80m tall central midfielder from Samut Sakhon has developed through the renowned Assumption Thonburi football program and joined Muangthong United in 2018, earning promotion to the first team this season as part of the club’s commitment to nurturing homegrown talent.
