Muangthong United’s official protest to the Football Association of Thailand has been upheld. The association has taken action against the on-field referee and the VAR official after confirming a wrongful penalty kick was awarded to Nakhon Ratchasima FC in the match on September 28.

On the morning of Tuesday, October 7, 2025, the Football Association of Thailand issued an official letter confirming the results of its review of the officials’ performance in the 1-1 draw between Nakhon Ratchasima and Muangthong, following the Kirin’s official protest regarding a controversial incident in the 75th minute.

The incident occurred when Nakhon Ratchasima striker Dennis Murillo collided with Muangthong goalkeeper Armin Gremsl inside the penalty area. The referee on the pitch immediately awarded a penalty kick to the home team.

However, after the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee reviewed the report from the Referee Evaluation Subcommittee and the video footage of the incident, they concluded that the penalty was wrongly awarded.

Finding: The penalty was incorrect. The committee confirmed that the collision between Muangthong’s goalkeeper Armin Gremsl and Nakhon Ratchasima’s forward Dennis Murillo should not have resulted in a penalty. The committee considered the contact to be a natural part of football (or “Football Understanding”), as both players were attempting to play the ball. The goalkeeper was slightly late to the ball and slipped, but this was not considered a foul.

Punishment for Referee & VAR: Based on the conclusion that the penalty decision was incorrect and impacted the outcome of the match, the committee unanimously voted to punish both officials for their error.

สืบเนื่องจากการที่ เมืองทอง ยูไนเต็ด ได้ยื่นเรื่องถึงสมาคมฟุตบอลแห่งประเทศไทย เพื่อประท้วงการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ของผู้ตัดสิน ที่ให้ลูกจุดโทษ (Penalty Kick) แก่ทีม นครราชสีมา เอฟซี ในเกมการแข่งขันเมื่อวันที่ 28 กันยายน ที่ผ่านมา และผลปรากฏว่าผิดจริง

เมื่อช่วงสายของวันอังคารที่ 7 ตุลาคม 2025 สมาคมฟุตบอลแห่งประเทศไทยฯ มีหนังสือแจ้งผลการพิจารณาการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ของผู้ตัดสินในเกมระหว่าง นครราชสีมา กับ เมืองทอง ที่เสมอกันไป 1-1 หลังจากกิเลนผยองได้ยื่นหนังสือประท้วงจังหวะปัญหาในนาทีที่ 75 ของการแข่งขัน

เหตุการณ์ดังกล่าว เป็นจังหวะที่ เดนนิส มูริลโล่ กองหน้าของ นครราชสีมา วิ่งเข้าไปเล่นบอล ก่อนจะปะทะกับ อาร์มิน เกรมสล์ ผู้รักษาประตูของ เมืองทอง ภายในกรอบเขตโทษ ซึ่งผู้ตัดสินในสนามเป่าให้เป็นจุดโทษแก่เจ้าถิ่น

อย่างไรก็ตาม หลังจาก คณะกรรมการพิจารณาวินัยและมารยาท ได้ตรวจสอบรายงานของคณะอนุกรรมการประเมินการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ของผู้ตัดสิน และพิจารณาภาพเหตุการณ์จากคลิปวิดีโอแล้ว มีมติดังนี้

ผลการพิจารณา: จุดโทษที่ไม่ควรเกิดขึ้น ตามหนังสือ ฟ.(วม7) 122/2568 ลงวันที่ 7 ตุลาคม 2568 คณะกรรมการพิจารณาวินัย มารยาท ได้ยืนยันตามการประท้วงของกิเลนผยองในจังหวะปัญหานาทีที่ 75

• – ไม่เป็นการฟาวล์: จังหวะปะทะระหว่าง ผู้รักษาประตู เมืองทอง (อาร์มิน เกรมสล์) กับกองหน้า นครราชสีมา (เดนนิส มูริลโล่) ไม่ควรเป็นลูกโทษ
• – คณะกรรมการฯ เห็นว่าเป็นการ ปะทะตามธรรมชาติของการเล่นฟุตบอล (Football Understanding) เนื่องจากผู้เล่นทั้งสองฝ่ายต่างพยายามเข้าเล่นบอล ผู้รักษาประตูถึงบอลช้ากว่าเล็กน้อยและเกิดการลื่นไถล แต่ไม่ถือเป็นการทำฟาวล์

ตัดสินโทษผู้ตัดสินและผู้ตัดสินวิดีโอผู้ช่วยผู้ตัดสิน (VAR): จากข้อสรุปที่ว่าการให้ลูกโทษเป็นสิ่งที่ไม่ถูกต้องและมีผลต่อการแข่งขัน คณะกรรมการฯ จึงมีมติเอกฉันท์สั่งลงโทษเจ้าหน้าที่ผู้ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ผิดพลาดทั้ง 2 ราย
