Club Announcement

Muangthong United, led by Club President Mr. Wilak Lohtong and Club Director Mr. Ronarit Suewaja, held a press conference today to announce the professional contract signing of 18-year-old midfielder Danupol Bupha. The event was attended by Dr. Veerayuth Boonphrom, Director of Assumption Thonburi School and President of Assumption United.

Danupol Bupha, aged 18, is a former captain of the Thailand U17 national team, having competed in the AFC U17 Asian Championship. He is widely regarded as one of Thailand’s most promising young midfielders with huge potential to become a key player for the senior national team in the future.

Dr. Veerayuth Boonphrom stated: “Today, the school is extremely delighted with Danupol Bupha’s first major milestone. Assumption Thonburi School has collaborated continuously with Muangthong United for over 17 years, sharing the same vision to support young talents’ dreams and provide opportunities for them to develop to international levels.”

Mr. Ronarit Suewaja added: “Muangthong United and Assumption Thonburi School share the same goal of developing Thai youth to seize opportunities and play at the professional level. Our partnership has produced top talents for the Thai national team for no less than 17 years. Today, we are thrilled to welcome Danupol Bupha to the Kirins and will nurture him to become a quality player like his seniors who have reached the senior national team, such as Teerasil Dangda, Kawin Thamsatchanan, and Kakana Khamyod.”

The new Kirin midfielder briefly shared: “I’m very happy to sign my first professional contract with Muangthong United. Thank you to all the elders, and thank you to my father and mother. My goals are to make the senior national team and play abroad.”

Danupol Bupha has now been officially registered as a new player for Muangthong United.
