Muangthong United come away with a single point after a 1-1 draw at Suphanbu FC in Revo Thai League action on Saturday 19 March 2022

With Suphanburi FC looking in winning form as the club seeks to avoid relegation, Muangthong United expected a difficult match.

The first half ended with Muangthong United up 1-0 after Boontawee scored with a shot from inside the box.  The match was a close battle with both teams trading chances and Suphanburi eventually equalized on a defensive error at the 75th minute.  The game included good chances to score for Wilian Popp as well as Henri Anier.  A penalty awarded to Muangthong United late in the match was overturned by VAR, and in the end, a single point was all that could be done.

Thailand's football leagues will now begin a three-week break from games as a series of international friendlies will occupy key players.  The league resumes on April 9th when Muangthong United welcome Samut Prakhan FC at the Thunderdome Stadium.  With just five games remaining in the 2021-22 season, Muangthong United will be looking for all 15 points.

Currently sitting in seventh position, there are only 4 points to make up to secure a spot in next season's AFC Champions League qualifiers.
