SCG Muangthong United claim their second win since the season re-start with a sold 4-0 defeat to Rayong FC.

The Kirin were 1-0 winners early in the week over Samut Prakan City in the FA Cup Round of 16 match.  With seversl players rotated through the line up, Muangthong followed up that victory with an important 3 points in the Thai League.

MTUTD were quick onto the scoreboard with Suporn, driving at the goal from the right flank and sliding the shot under the keeper at close range.  This was followed at 31 minutes when Mirzaev Sardor took the cross in from the left to finish cleanly.

The second half saw Manager Mario Gjurovski use up all five substitutions available under the new rules.  This was a chance for several academy players to feature in a league match, and they didn't disappoint, bringing a new tempo to the game, and driving up the shot count to 24.

With twenty minutes remaining Wongsakorn made it 3-0, and then Poramet finished it off with the fourth goal during the final minutes.

Muangthong, like all clubs in the league, have a demanding schedule, with two games per week until the season finish at the end of March.  With the quarter final match of the FA Cup still to be played, Gjurovski knows he will have to manage his players carefully to try and avoid injury and field the strongest team possible for each match.

Muangthong will travel to Chonburi FC for the Thailand "classico" match, Thursday February 11th, then the club is back at the SCG Stadium the following Sunday.  While fans are yet to be allowed into games, live streams are available in Thailand on AISPLAY, and internationally to select countries via 1playsports.
