SCG Muangthong United Academy - U17
Recently the U17 squad competed in the BMA U17 INVITATION SUPER CUP 2020 featuring teams from across the country. The quarter final match was played at the Bangkok Youth Stadium against U17 BG Pathum United. This match mirrors the That FA Cup Round of 32 game scheduled for December 6th when Muanghong and BG will play each other at the SCG Stadium.
With the U17 match, the young Kirin were to be defeated 3-0 and see BG advance to the next round.
Typically the academy teams compete in the Thai Youth League (TYL) which in 2020 has been put on hold as the country takes measure to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus. It is hoped that the TYL will resume in the near future and the teams can experience more competition.
