SCG Muangthong United lost a heartbreaker of a match, losing 3-2 against Chiang Rai United at the Singha Stadium in Chiang Rai.
The Kirin started out strong and two quick goals early in the first half from Willian Popp and Sardor Mirzaev put Muangthong on track for the win.
Yet as the half progressed Chiang Rai were to even up the score by halftime.
The second half progressed without goals, with both teams getting chances. However in the final minue of the match Chaing Rai were able to score the winner and claim the three points.
It was a tough loss in a closely played game in which teams had an equal share of possession and chances at goal, but as Coach Gjurovski said this is football and sometimes the chances go to the other team.
