Muangthong United addresses the Kirin family following the conclusion of the 2025/2026 season and outlines the path forward.

To all fans and supporters of Muangthong United, it is with deep regret that we announce the club has officially been relegated to Thai League 2. This concludes a beautiful 17-year era in Thai League 1, following our journey that began 19 years ago.

This season has been incredibly difficult, marked by squad changes and various challenges. Despite everyone at the club fighting until the very last match, we ultimately could not achieve our mission. The club offers its sincerest apologies to the fans, sponsors, and the entire Kirin family for failing to reach our goals.

However, this relegation is not the end. It is a starting point to rebuild, much like when Muangthong United rose from Thai League 3 in 2007 to become a cornerstone of professional Thai football and a continental contender.

While some players may depart, the club confirms we will maintain a high-quality core squad and will strengthen with new talent to compete in a highly competitive Thai League 2. Our goal is clear: to win the Thai League 2 championship and return immediately to the top flight. We pledge to improve every element of the club to stand alongside the fans who have given their hearts and faith for 19 seasons.

Thank you for walking with us throughout the 2025/2026 season. The Kirin will return.

แถลงการณ์จากสโมสร เมืองทอง ยูไนเต็ด ถึงแฟนบอลและผู้สนับสนุนสโมสร เมืองทอง ยูไนเต็ดทุกท่าน เราเสียใจเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่ต้องกล่าวว่า สโมสร เมืองทอง ยูไนเต็ด ได้ตกชั้นสู่ ไทยลีก 2 อย่างเป็นทางการ ซึ่งเป็นอันยุติช่วงเวลา 17 ปีอันแสนงดงามบน ไทยลีก 1 กับการเริ่มต้นเป็นเวลากว่า 19 ปี

อย่างไรก็ตามการตกชั้นในครั้งนี้ไม่ใช่จุดสิ้นสุดของเส้นทาง แต่จะเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นอีกครั้งให้สโมสรได้ก่อร่างสร้างทีมแห่งชัยชนะให้แข็งแกร่งอีกครั้ง ดั่งเช่นที่ครั้งหนึ่ง เมืองทอง ยูไนเต็ด เคยสร้างเส้นทางความสำเร็จจากระดับไทยลีก 3 เมื่อปี 2007 จนก้าวไปคว้าแชมป์ไทยลีก 1 และก้าวสู่ระดับทวีป

แม้จบฤดูกาลนี้ผู้เล่นบางคนอาจต้องอำลาทีมออกไป สโมสรยืนยันจะยังคงรักษาโครงสร้างผู้เล่นแกนหลักเดิมที่มีคุณภาพ พร้อมกับเป้าหมายเสริมทีมด้วยผู้เล่นศักยภาพเพื่อต่อสู้ในระดับ ไทยลีก 2 และกลับสู่ลีกสูงสุดให้ได้ในฤดูกาลที่กำลังจะมาถึง พวกเราจะก้าวต่อไปอย่างมุ่งมั่น ปรับปรุง แก้ไข พัฒนาในทุกองค์ประกอบ เพื่อให้สมกับที่ทุกคนได้ทุ่มเทหัวใจและศรัทธาให้กับสโมสรมาตลอด 19 ฤดูกาลเต็ม
