Strengthening Thai-Japanese Ties

Since signing a sponsorship agreement for the 2022-2023 season, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. has been a pivotal partner at the MTUTD Training Center and Thunder Dome. This collaboration follows the strategic partnership between Muangthong United and Urawa Red Diamonds, aimed at fostering football development and cultural exchange between Thailand and Japan.

The event was graced by Tomoya Ugajin, the legendary Japanese full-back who made over 290 appearances for Urawa Reds and won multiple titles, including the AFC Champions League and Emperor’s Cup. Joining him were Muangthong United legends Datsakorn Thonglao and Dagno Siaka, who shared their experiences and inspired the young participants.

Following a fun-filled hour of training and games, the young fans had the unforgettable experience of ushering the players onto the pitch for the high-stakes Thai League clash against Port FC.
