Meet the “Swat Cats”

Our opponents will be playing on their home ground in Thailand’s largest province, Nakhon Ratchasima, often called “Korat.” The team is nicknamed the “Swat Cats,” a name derived from the famous Korat cat, a silver-blue cat breed native to the region known locally as Si-Sawat. In Thai culture, the Korat cat is a symbol of good luck, a fitting symbol for a club that has fought its way back into the top flight.

For any of our fans or international followers travelling to support the team, the region of Korat is known as the “Gateway to Isaan” and offers incredible sights. Its most famous landmark is the Phimai Historical Park, a stunning Khmer temple complex that rivals Angkor Wat in its beauty. The area is also home to the Khao Yai National Park and the revered Thao Suranari (Yaa Mo) Monument, dedicated to a local heroine.
